I have always loved using pen & ink to explore birch trees, because of the variety of patterns and textures on each tree. Pen & ink really lends itself to depicting details. This piece contains some tiny handwritten factoids about paper birches (one of the many types of birches). 
 
This is an original painting and I didn't make prints of it, so it is one-of-a-kind!
