Chippewa Square is one of the most known squares in Savannah, located centrally on Bull Street. It’s named for the Battle of Chippewa from the War of 1812. This is the square where Forrest Gump sat on a bench and waited for his bus, and it also faces the First Baptist Church (1800), the Historic Savannah Theatre (1818), and Gallery Espresso (1993).
