Savannah’s Forsyth Park was designed after the French ideal of having a central public garden. Its beautiful fountain - erected in 1858 on the north end of the park - is one of the city’s most photographed and most well-known spots. It’s surrounded by greenery, Spanish moss-draped live oaks, and many park benches for relaxation. Every St. Patrick’s Day, the fountain’s water is dyed green!
