From my 2026 solo show "The Winter of our Discontent," in which I paired my paintings of the Log Lady from the David Lynch show 'Twin Peaks' with a sound element. I asked women across the U.S. to send me their thoughts on J.D. Vance’s “childless cat ladies” remarks, and on our commitment to “community” in general.
I heard back from over 50 people, across 16 states. I was able to handwrite some of my favorite lines from various people into these 6 colorful “log squares," representing the Log Lady’s famous line: “My log has something to tell you.”
The gold leaf gives these pieces a special pop of shine! See the additional photos of the green square for a better sense of the depth and edges of these paintings.
